Wilmington is bathed in inaction. The citizens here have forgotten the power of the written word.

Alicia Silverstone (Legally Blonde 2) tells a horrific anecdote about getting a horrible haircut and it was her own fault because she didn't say anything. This is the State of Things in Wilmington. Yes, we have become a city of complainers but not doers.

"Most people are more comfortable with old problems than new solutions".

Please bring out the ashes, we must bow our heads in shame.

The traffic in Wilmington is a son-of-a-bitch yet no one has offered any solutions.
THAT is what we need, yes, not another round of whining, bitching, and complaining. We need Serious Actions--laws against 18 year olds on cell phones will not save us... they are not the only ones chatting about frozen peas in the grocery store. In fact, they may be better equipped for the constant stimuli---after all, they can instant message, check email, download music, and myspace all at once... what's driving and talking to these geniuses?

Regardless--that is another matter.

Business owners unite. Here is an idea that will go far. If the business(that open at 8:30 or later) were to divide into thirds and thus begin a series of openings that start at 8:30, 9:00, and 9:30... then the roads would not be congested all at once. In high school, you may remember, there were several lunches so that not ever was in there At Once. Thus, the same idea.

Never the less... I suppose it's only a matter of time before S. College turns into a parking lot.
