.......voldemort's dead

So. No surprise there. The semi-surprise was that Harry Potter did not die.

Why should he? JK never intended for him to be Christ-like and sacrifice himself for the sins of the wizarding world.

He was a kid, unfortunately, who happened to be THE BOY WHO LIVED. He wasn't special, he wasn't all powerful, he wasn't even an above average wizard.

He was simply Harry Potter. Hell, his name is uninteresting.

I know thousands of people are writing about HP right now. Let 'em.

JK wrote the book; she wrote all 7 of 'em. The fact that we were alive and able to read all 7 of them over the past 10 years is simply a privelege that we were granted.

I thought the epilogue was unnecessary but she wrote it so I read it.

I thought it gave closure to the whole series but one can always argue "it could have ended differently". You could say that about Paradise Lost, The Stand, the dark tower, or any number of series.

Harry Potter will live forever in our minds and in literature.

After all....

he is The Boy Who Lived.
