Someone somewhere is trying to be heard
To be touched, held,
And loved
For a moment,
By someone somewhere.
Someone somewhere is dancing
The niteclub an alien world
And the illusion dancing in front of
Becomes a beautiful stranger.
Someone somewhere is singing
Humming the tune
And inventing the words.
Somewhere someone is dying alone
A good man with a good heart
Alone after all.
Someone somewhere is praying
For peace, love, patience, and guidance
From someone somewhere.
Someone somewhere is laughing
At a forgotten memory that resurfaced
The euphoria better the second time.
Someone somewhere is walking
Tall across campus
Triumphant and proud.
Someone somewhere is crying—
The injustice of love slapping in the face
And unmade memories
Collapse in mid-thought.
Someone somewhere is lying awake, reslest
Debating the future, dreams
And the maniacal world.
Someone somewhere is having sex;
Two college kids lose their innocence again & again,
As if they can make time stop in a 10 x 12 room.
Somewhere someone is driving alone and in tune
With the world. The perfect song at the perfect time at the perfect place
With a perfect note.
Someone somewhere someone is writing
A poem about
Someone somewhere.
